Nathan il proprio corpo: giovane ed in perfetta forma, l'attira l'idea di candidarsi come "madre surrogata" a beneficio di una coppia sterile. Presso la stessa banca si è iscritto, in qualità di "donatore", il giovane Ricky un bravo fotografo che fa servizi in occasione di cerimonie e a cui, casualmente, sia Nathan che Lisa hanno chiesto copie delle foto di una bella neonata che ha visto la luce grazie appunto agli interventi programmati dalla banca.
