Le téléphone pleure

Based on the hit song written by Claude François. An airline pilot from Alitalia named Andrea falls in love with Colette, a French model. However his heart condition forces him to leave commercial flights and becomes a private pilot. He is engaged in a dangerous flying mission in Africa and is captured by rebels. Colette does not hear from him for over seven years. However, as he is freed, back in Italy, he discovers that Colette married a surgeon, unable to wait for a long time and frustrated that he never gave news of his. As she does not want to speak to him again, Andrea, in a redemption attempt, calls her place, and a young 7-year old girl answers the phone, possibly a child that he conceived with Colette before leaving for Africa. He will have a chance to be with the child just for one day, as Colette does not want to see him again. However, he gets a fatal heart attack, but at least, he had to chance to know his daughter before dying.
